List of the Best Bars & Restaurants in Reno, Nevada. According to a South Korean (Part 1: Bars)

Hello Everyone!

I have been living in Reno, Nevada for over 2 years now. In that time, my husband and I have tried a variety of bars, restaurants, coffee shops and more! Whenever we go to a place, we give it a rating between 1 -5. Once we both give our scores we average them to get our final score. Below you can find all of the places we have tried so far with their ratings, links to their reviews and a picture of what we ordered. We will continue to add to this list as we try new places. Feel free to leave a comment below with your suggestions of places to try.

Chop Chop! Let’s get started!

Piñon Bottle Co. 5/5

Piñon Bottle is a great hangout with friends in the summer time. They have over 30 draft beers that cycle throughout the year. On top of that, there is a Noble Pie literally next door if you get hungry.

Terrace Lounge 5/5

This bar is located inside the Peppermill Casino. During the summer time you can sit out on the balcony tables that face the newly remodeled swimming pool. They also have live music playing year round.

Flowing Tide 4.9/5

Flowing Tide has multiple locations around Reno and they all have multiple happy hours 7 days a week. Check out their happy hour Tide wings, they are delicious with a half-off beer. We like the FTP 1 & 2. We’ve also been to FTP 5, but we don’t like it as much because half of it is smoking.

Revision 4.9/5

Revision is a brewery located on Rock. When you first enter, it doesn’t look like much, but when you go into the distillery area, it opens up to a large room with fun activities to do, such as corn hole and giant Jenga. Their draft beers are also pretty cheap and taste great!

Reno Public House 4.8/5

This bar has indoor and outdoor seating and is often very lively. It is also one of the few Midtown bars that is open 24 hours. The only downside is they don’t offer food.

The Depot 4.8/5

The Depot is a very unique bar as it used to be a train depot, which is where it gets its name from. During the day is offers food and at night is is a very popular place to drink.

The Eddy 4.8/5

The Eddy is a very unique place to drink in Reno. It features 3 bars as well as multiple food trucks. This is a great hangout place during the summer time and is located right in the center of downtown.

Brew Brothers Reno 4.6/5

This bar is located in the Eldorado which is part of The Row casinos. They have seating right next to the casino floor as well as inside the restaurant.

Kauboi Izakaya 4.6/5

Kauboi Izakaya has a very authentic Japanese feel as you can watch the chefs make ramen right in front of you at the bar. It also has a good collection of drinks including Sake.

Little Waldorf 4.5/5

Located next to UNR, this bar has a great happy hour menu with fish tacos, pizza and more! It is a little dated inside but very unique atmosphere.

Coconut Bowl 4.5/5

The coconut bowl has recent expanded with an indoor black light go kart section. They have decently priced pitchers of beer that you can enjoy will bowlings, mini golfing, go karting, and more!

Sierra Tap House – 4.5/5

This bar is located right on the Truckee River. They have cheap beer and a great view with outdoor seating.

Rue Bourbon 4.5/5

A little pricy when it comes to drinks, but they have some unique food. Check out their gator bites! They also have a lot of live music to enjoy.

Ole Bridge Pub – 4.5/5

Great location and view of the river. It’s a little small though, so really it’s only a summer place as there are more seats outside.

Ceol Irish Pub 4.3/5

Live music and good drinks. I love their Irish coffee. However, it feels a little dated inside.

Brauhaus 701 4.3/5

This is a brand new bar that has an interesting look and unique drinks, but it’s a little pricy.

The Rack 4.3/5

A basement club that has bowling, arcade games, a dance floor and most important, alcohol! They also have late night all you can drink deals for around $15. The downside is they typically have a cover charge and you need to be pat down before entering.

Press Start 4.3/5

A unique concept of a bar. You can play tons of old arcade and pinball games while enjoying a beer here.

Imperial Bar & Lounge 4.3/5

Imperial is located downtown, but they offer free parking if you’re driving there. They have some unique food selection, such as these wasabi chicken wings and good beer.

The Stick – Sports Lounge 4.3/5

Located in Riverside downtown. It has a nice setup with two floors of seating. A great place to watch sports and grab a beer. It also has pizza right next door.

The Zeppelin 4.3/5

Very unique atmosphere, but the food is pretty lackluster and overall a pretty pricy place.

The Glass Die 4.2/5

A fun place to play board games and drink with friends. However, it’s almost always packed and can get very loud when everyone is getting into their games.

The U 4.2/5

The U is located right next to UNR and has some decent food and drink specials. The atmosphere is also nice and they often have DJs come in to play music.

Bully’s – 4.1/5

Nothing too special, but they have multiple locations all around town and some decent deals on beer and food. They also offer a ton of screens to watch sport games on.

O’Clearly’s Irish Pub – 4/5

-UPDATE- Sadly this bar is no longer open. When it was open, they had decent happy hour food and drinks. They also had bowling and other fun games to play.

Beer NV – 4.1/5

Tons of local beers! However, not too many are that good from what we have tried. Nice atmosphere and is a decent bar if you’re in the South Meadows area.

The Saint 3.9/5

The atmosphere is nice and they have live music often. Drinks are good, but every time we come here recently, it’s almost completely empty.

Fireside lounge 3.9/5

A unique setup with the fire pit, but it’s literally just one that you share with other customers. It’s also rather smokey and dated inside. Drinks are also on the expensive side. If you’re going to drink at the Peppermill, the Terrace Lounge is way better!
